Sophia Voloh

Teacher, Pre-K

In 2011, I graduated from the Russian State University for the Humanities (RSUH), where I studied at the Faculty of History, Political Science, and Law.

Since 2022, I have been working at The Goddard School, where every day gives me the opportunity to work with children, watch them grow and develop, and help them discover the world around them.

Working with children inspires me because of their sincerity, curiosity, and remarkable ability to find beauty and wonder in even the simplest things.

"In my work, it is especially important to create a warm and supportive environment where every child feels comfortable and confident, can freely express their thoughts, ask questions, and enjoy discovering new things.

Continuing education and professional development are an important part of my work as an educator. In 2024, I earned the 45-Hour Child Growth and Development Certificate and completed the 45-Hour Infant and Toddler Methods and Materials course. Ongoing professional development allows me to deepen my understanding of child development and find an individual approach to each child based on their age, interests, and unique needs.

It is a great honor and joy to be part of the Russian School Erudite community. I am grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such a dedicated and professional team, to create a warm and welcoming environment for our students, and to help children grow, develop, and explore the world around them with curiosity and enthusiasm".
